The new site will better support the program as it provides opportunities for students to experience international education
The Naughton Fellowships program has launched a new website, naughton.nd.edu. The redesigned site provides an attractive, modern feel that will better serve Notre Dame students and students from some of Ireland’s leading research universities who are interested in an international education in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
When discussing the updated website, Communications Program Director in Notre Dame Research and Naughton Support Committee member Joanne D. Fahey said, “The new website was designed to encourage students to learn more about the program, while also making information easy for them to find. Now students who are interested in the program will have a glimpse at what this educational opportunity could be like, while also being able to more easily apply to become a Naughton Fellow.”
The site offers seven main pages including those that offer specific details for students at varying levels of education. Under the ‘Undergraduate,’ ‘Masters,’ and ‘Ph.D.’ tabs, students will be able to more easily find the fellowship program information that pertains to them. The purpose of this structure is to better display the different experiences available to students of all levels who are interested in applying to the program.
The Naughton Fellowships allow students with a background in, or aptitude for, STEM fields to experience international research and educational opportunities through a funded exchange program involving the University of Notre Dame and some of Ireland’s leading research universities. Irish undergraduates, master’s students, and Ph.D. candidates can come to Notre Dame on the fellowship, while Notre Dame undergraduates, master’s students, and Ph.D. candidates can travel to Ireland to study and complete research.
